Dear ’21-’22 Clear Creek Choir,
Congratulations on an amazing year with unique challenges as we moved towards even more normalcy. We made it!
Before looking at next year’s rosters, I want to remind you of a few things:
Finally, our ’22-’23 calendar is updated and linked on our choir website (www.clearcreekchoir.com). Please go NOW to that calendar and put the dates on your personal calendar. Take special note of our Holiday Follies winter pop show dates – there are always some students who schedule something on those dates and can’t be in our pop show. So make plans now and be proactive about getting next year’s choir dates onto your own calendar. As of now concert dates are finalized only. Later this summer there may be additions to non-mandatory events like all-state rehearsals, socials, etc.
Hope you all have a restful summer! We’ve earned this break, and Mr. Stultz and Mr. Park hope that you have a wonderful summer!!!

Congratulations on an amazing year with unique challenges as we moved towards even more normalcy. We made it!
Before looking at next year’s rosters, I want to remind you of a few things:
- If you have any questions about your placement, please do not contact Mr. Park or Mr. Stultz immediately. Give it a few days before you send us an email. A little perspective and a few days will give you the space needed to write the email that represents yourself in the best way and that will typically get you the best response from us. So give it a few days. After those few days, if you still would like some feedback, drop us a note to ask us what you should focus on next year to get you to the next level in your singing. We are happy to give you any feedback we can.
- Even though there are a few sophomores in Symphonic next year, the normal progression for our sophomore treble voices who are auditioning for a varsity choir is to move from Bel Canto to Kapelle to Symphonic and Chamber. So if you auditioned for a varsity choir and made Kapelle, you are doing phenomenally, you’re progressing exactly as we had hoped you would, you’re on track for success, and you made a varsity choir. Congrats!
- Keep in mind that Kapelle was created years ago because we have more varsity treble voices than varsity tenor-bass voices, and we didn’t have enough space in Kapelle for all of our advanced voices. Who makes which choirs always comes down to the number of tenors we have in Symphonic, and next year we have 8. That’s right, in a choir program that has 155 students in it, there are eight tenors who qualified for our varsity mixed choir versus 57 sopranos and altos who all qualified for our varsity mixed choir. We can’t have a balanced choir with 8 tenors and 57 sopranos and altos. So Kapelle was created to ensure that our varsity treble voices have an ensemble where they will be challenged and can further develop their skills.
